Wee Care Day Care Early Learning Center is a licensed child care center with a 3-Star Step Up to Quality award and an Ohio Healthy Program, which means, we have been recognized as going above and beyond the basic requirements to ensure we are providing the best care and environment for your children while also
focusing on teaching healthy habits and serving healthy meals!
At Wee Care Care Day Care, we believe that each child is unique, so we focus
on each individual child and their development. Each child's interests and
developmental levels are considered when our teachers plan daily learning
experiences along with following a detailed curriculum. We also know that
children learn through play. Therefore, we strive to make each learning
experience fun and interesting for the children in the class. Our classrooms are
organized in a way to promote play and learning through play.
We recognize that the family is most important in a child's life, so Wee Care
collaborates with families about their children and encourages family
involvement in their child's education. In order to ensure families are involved,
our teachers meet with families throughout the year and host fun event for
families. During the first few weeks after enrollment, we will meet with your
family to discuss your child, their development and plan goals for each of your
children.
Philosophy
Wee Care Day Care Early Learning Center focuses on each individual child and their unique development. We use a child-centered curriculum. The Creative Curriculum, and formal assessment system, Teaching Strategies Gold, which are both aligned to the Ohio Early Learning Development Standards. We also use a child screening tool, Ages and Stages questionnaires, to help identify any areas of concern. Our teachers use frequent observations to look at the language, cognitive, physical, social and emotional needs of the individual child rather than solely on their chronological age. Children grow and develop at different rates, our curriculum is designed to offer children the opportunity to explore areas at their own speed.
